Pay-As-You-Go satellite broadband! from Hyspeed Broadband

Satellite broadband is an ever changing market globally, with emerging markets, new technologies and increased pressure for faster speeds and lower costs put pressure on the satellite operators and the resellers.
HySpeed Broadband a partner of Avanti Communications has listened to customer’s issues and qualms regarding bills and costs in this modern age. They are also of the knowledge that due to the technology involved and market satellite broadband is a more expensive solution compared to ADSL lines (Cable & Fibre).

Avanti have listened to their partners including HySpeed broadband and have now brought to the forefront a new way of paying for satellite broadband.

 Avanti becomes the first European satellite operator to offer Pay-As-You-Go pricing for Ka-band services. HySpeed Broadband’s director Dr Raied Nasser said;

“As a partner of Avanti Communications will now have a new option for customers who do not like being in a contract, or don’t use the internet connection enough to warrant having a monthly subscription. It is now made easier for users to be in control themselves. They have the power to use as much, or as little as they want to. No shock bills or throttling of service for going over the monthly data allowance.” [Dr Raied Nasser]
He also went on to say.

“It also opens up a market for second home owners and the tourism lettings industry with the ever increasing demand for an internet connection whilst away.”

The new pricing model from HySpeed Broadband will be made available to new customers. HySpeed Broadband has stated that if a customer wishes to then upgrade to a monthly subscription package this is easily done.

As well as this HySpeed Broadband say;

“This may not be for all consumers out there; many users will opt to stick with monthly contracts as they need a constant connection which works out in the long run less expensive. But there will be a small number of users who will want to embrace this option. Second home or holiday home owners can now not have to worry about paying for a monthly bill in their rural home, as a simple installation of HySpeed’s Pay-As-You-Go service means they will only be paying when they are using the property. “

“It is also a great service for those in the tourism industry. There have been many cases in recent years dictating that although tourism is based on getting away from the city, and the place of work. Many tourists still look for an internet connection or Wi-Fi connectivity when choosing a place to stay as it is vital for communication. A pay-as-you-go service would offer the holiday home owners and property managers a solution for offering a broadband connection in any home across the UK with satellite broadband and a pay-as-you-go system, the party who are then staying will choose whether or not they use the service provided.”

We cannot wait for this service to get off the ground and get running. It will be a great help giving users a choice.

A short History of Satellite Broadband

The First satellite went into orbit in the 1950s. Since then when satellites seemed to be more of a statement between Countries ‘look how big my satellite is’ and ‘look what my satellite can do’ (*cough*USA *cough*). They have evolved in very complex communication devices which are used in defence, spy and our favourite of all Internet.

As Russia and the USA competed in the space race the fascination and glory to a nation of launching new satellites grew.

The Birth of satellite Internet

As advances in technology continued to improve, the internet continued to grow and the number of satellites in orbit continued to increase. Scientists started working on transmitting data across wireless communication points. Their efforts paid off when researches successfully linked two European computers to an American network by the way of Satellite communication services.

Now days satellite internet is not a rarity. Of course those in built up societies would cringe at the thought of not having unlimited downloads and a 2mb/s connection. But many people have no other choice and satellite internet gives them access to the rest of the World.

Of course it is for the rural locations around the World. But it is also for back-up systems where businesses rely on a internet connection. Using a satellite system as a back-up can provide a reliable connection when the primary connection fails.

The Future for satellite Internet

Satellite internet is going to continue to grow in areas which need it the most. The advances in technology have seen pushes to get more people subscribing to the service. Even in the UK more than 1.5million people cannot access the internet and BT have no plans to link them to the network as it would not benefit them financially to do so.

We are also excited about the launch of the Hylas2 Avanti satellite to cover Middle East and North Africa.  This will bring cheaper options to those residents and give a infrastructure which is currently not there.

To see if there is an area you could get satellite internet in see our coverage maps

HySpeed Services

Good Morning all,

As this is my first post on blogger it is just to summarise our service. Here at HySpeed Broadband we are able to offer all UK residents (yes even the one's who tried to escape the fast passed city life), a broadband service which exceeds the UK governments aims to get all UK residents onto the internet by 2013.

How?

Quite simply we use satellites. Without getting technical about the equipment, we use a small dish which will be attached somewhere near your home, place of work. It works similarly to a well known TV provider. BUT, as yes this is a big but, we use a two way signal where residents do not need a telephone line connected, our satellites send and receive data.

The benefits of such a service, residents who live anywhere, can receive up to 8Mbps download speeds, if you are currently on only 516kbps this is around 15 times greater of that. Another great thing about our service, is as most broadband companies offer you speeds using the magic words, 'up to speeds of' 10Mbps and then in reality you may only be receiving 2Mbps. Here at Hyspeed Broadband we give you the speeds you pay for.

I think I've covered the main parts of our business, stayed posted for more information regarding satellite technology, special offers, & and all things topical.
